Danielle
I help local businesses get found and chosen online through websites, SEO, Google Business Profile, social media, and content. I work in both English and Chinese and build bilingual websites and content for businesses that serve both communities.
I have 10+ years of web development experience (2001–2011 and August 2026–present), beginning in 2001, when I started building and maintaining a local church website (ccmcva.org) as its volunteer webmaster. I continued that work for seven years, including while completing my Computer Science degree and beginning my professional software engineering career.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. I then worked full-time for six years as a Software Engineer at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), building web applications with ASP.NET and SQL Server backends supporting a U.S. federal government agency.
I’ve also been on the business side. For four years, I ran my own online retail business, handling the store, marketing, and customer service myself. That experience taught me what it takes to attract and serve customers, not just how to build the technology behind a business.
In 2026, I returned to web work and founded Earnest Marketing DMV LLC, bringing my technical, business, and marketing experience together to help local businesses build a stronger online presence and reach more customers.
Having lived in the DMV area for many years, I understand the local market and how customers here evaluate and choose the businesses they trust.
Marc
I am the founder of EditMaxxing, a Virginia-based video and photo editing service that turns raw footage and photos into polished final cuts: short-form Reels and TikToks, event and wedding films, YouTube channel content, and fully retouched photography. I also shoot video and photo, and create and manage YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok channels. With 7 years of experience, I have recorded, edited, and delivered over 1,200 minutes of footage. For one of my EditMaxxing clients, I work weekly on their YouTube channel: I shoot video on location, write scripts, oversee the channel's two other video editors and review their deliverables, create thumbnails, upload videos on schedule, and monitor the channel's performance.
Emily
Emily helps with competitor research, lead research, and scripts for client projects, and prepares clear reports and presentations. She joins client projects as needed.
Where this started
The story behind this business goes back to 2001, when I started maintaining and expanding a website for a community organization — ccmcva.org. The numbers behind that project, and what it grew into, are on the Our Work page.
That project is the reason I built these packages the way they are: a site is never really "done," a content calendar only works if someone actually runs it, and a Google listing only helps if someone keeps it accurate. Those are ongoing jobs, not one-time deliverables.

Most businesses end up coordinating a web developer, a videographer, a social media freelancer, and someone handling Google Business — each focused on only their own piece. With Earnest Marketing DMV, you work directly with me as your single point of contact. I'm the owner and operator, and I lead and complete every project, coordinating your website, content, social media, and local search together, so what gets filmed on Tuesday can show up on your website and social media by Friday, while your Google Business Profile stays aligned with the same message. When a video editing contract is signed, the editing is passed to Marc.

Local, on purpose
I'm based in Haymarket, Virginia and work with businesses across Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and selected Maryland communities — close enough to show up in person when a site visit calls for it. I also offer this site and my services in Chinese for bilingual clients.
