Our Work

Websites I've built.

A live site for a video editing studio, a sample website for home-services businesses, and a church website I built and maintained as a volunteer for seven years (2001–2008). The websites below link to their live sites, so you can see them for yourself.

EditMaxxing — Video Editing Business Website

Designed and developed EditMaxxing.com as a professional website for a video-editing business. I built and organized 48 files, including the page, its stylesheet and script, and 41 images and videos, and created a custom visual design with dynamic scrolling and interactive elements.

I also submitted and configured the site for Google indexing to make it discoverable through search.

Video Editing: Marc at EditMaxxing provides video-editing and YouTube content services and is also part of the Earnest Marketing DMV team.

This project reflects the same hands-on approach used in my website development work — every section, effect, and interaction was built and checked carefully, from the file structure to the final visual experience.

"The website they made me is amazing. It is so gorgeous, eye-catching, and appealing. It includes features showcasing my work, beautiful scrolling videos, and click-through galleries that have made my business so much more customer-friendly and accessible."

Haymarket Home Works — a sample site for home services

Built to show how a local contractor's website can look: it presents your trade and your before-and-after comparisons of real project photos.

A dedicated "Recent work" page walks through individual projects one at a time — blackout shades installed thirteen feet up a two-story great room, a bay window transformation, and more — most with matched before/after photos, instead of a generic photo grid.

Website build & long-term maintenance

ccmcva.org — from a one-page site to a site of 400+ pages (2001–May 2008)

Building a Fully Established Website

Beginning in 2001, I took over the church website as a volunteer, when it was a single contact page with no domain name. I recommended the church register its own domain, and over the following years I grew the site to 400+ pages, supporting the church's communication, outreach, and online presence.

Ongoing Content & Technical Management

As the webmaster, I managed the site from 2001 until handing it off to a new webmaster in May 2008, including about six months of remote maintenance while the church found a replacement. The church paid only for its own domain name; I covered the hosting. When I handed the site over, the church thanked me in writing for my dedication in building and maintaining the website for many years.

Thank-you email from a church leader, May 5, 2008 (names and contact details removed).
“On behalf of CCMC, I would like to express our sincere and heartfelt appreciation to you for your complete dedication to develop and faithfully maintain the website for CCMC for many years.”
Email from a church leader dated May 5, 2008, with names and contact details blacked out. It reads: Yes, kindly extend all the necessary information to the new webmaster, who has accepted the calling to maintain the website for CCMC. On behalf of CCMC, I would like to express our sincere and heartfelt appreciation to you for your complete dedication to develop and faithfully maintain the website for CCMC for many years. May God richly reward you for your faithful ministry to our Lord.
  • Published the church's weekly news, prayer requests, and sermon topics
  • Published weekly sermon audio recordings
  • Scanned and digitized hundreds of pages of books and photo collections from the late senior pastor, each page published as its own web page with previous/next navigation and a full page index
  • Scanned, resized, and optimized hundreds of book-page images for faster loading while maintaining readability
  • Solved hosting limits for a 100MB site: started on 10MB of free church server space, added about 90MB of web space from my own household internet service for roughly five years, then moved everything to my personal paid hosting package in 2008
  • Managed the website’s content and structure

The screenshots here are archived copies (Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, web.archive.org, 2008) of pages from the original site that I built. They were saved without the logo, images or stylesheet, so they look plain, but they show that this 400+ page website was built and live online in 2008 when I handed it off, with its book pages published as individual web pages. (The church stopped using my hosting after the 2008 handoff, and my own copies of the files are no longer available, so I am showing archived copies as evidence.)
