How a new or redesigned website project works

1. First call. We talk about your business, your goals, and what you need. If it sounds like a fit, we set up a first meeting at your business.
2. Draft website. Before you sign anything, I build a draft website for you to react to, with sample page text I write so you can see how it will read.
3. First demo, in person. I walk you through the draft at your business.
4. Contract. If you like it, we sign a contract that spells out the cost, payment schedule, timeline, scope of work, copyright, and deadlines for your material and feedback.
5. Two things happen at the same time
   • You: prepare your material (including page text, logo, photos, and staff bios and etc) and send it to me by the deadline in your contract.
   • Me: I rebuild the draft website into your full site, using what we discussed at our first meeting, what I know about your industry, and information already available about your business.
6. Second demo, in person. I demo the finished demo website at your business location. Afterward, I send you a snapshot of the demo site, using whatever method we agreed on within 2 business days.
7. Your revisions. You send your changes, and I make them.
8. Final link. At least 3 business days before the agreed launch date, I send you a private link to the final site.
9. Your approval. Within 3 business days of receiving the link, you check that it matches the material you gave me and approve the launch.
10. Launch and ownership. I launch the site on your web hosting and domain. Once the final payment is made and the site is live, the copyright transfers to you.

Payment is made in stages, as set out in your contract.
